Oh the things you never knew…

 8 Things about me that I haven’t already said here.

Well, you would have known anyway if you wited a day or so longer. I met a FACE READER yesterday and she said the most fascinating things! I have a sketchbook account of my facial features (as detailed as the inclination of my eyebrow hair!!) and what she had to say about them (and most of them, I bet, are things you’d never have guessed about me!). But- patience, patience. That’s the next blog post.

For today: 8 things you (probably don’t know about me):

1. My admission to University of Strathclyde is confirmed for my Masters in International Journalism. And I’m dreaming the big dreams, yes. BUT I’M ALSO WORRIED SLEEPLESS! Visa papers. Packing the right stuff. All the dreams. Making it work better with A. I hope I meet nice people. I hope I become a better person with it. What about a good job after that. And the dreaded word career… the list is endless! :s
2. I’m moving to Glasgow this September and will be there for several years to come. That brings with it worries and dreams and great joy. Anyone know a nice cafe there, TEL ME!
3. Oh and I love my hair!! …Ok, that one you probably knew if you’ve met me… but otherwise not, so it still deserves a place in here.
4. I’m currently making a series (my first in cloth) of healing spirit dolls. You don’t know that yet because I haven’t had the time to post it. But you’ll know more soon… pictures and links and ideas coming up soon. [UPDATE: I MADE MY FIRST TWO!! THEY'RE UP ON MY FLICKR NOW SO YOU CAN SEE THEM. ]
5. I can’t cook. Again, you know this damn well if you ever lived with me: Chamki, Sexy Sharma, Surru (among the bloggers).. and now Maddie probably knows as well. So this is for the rest of you. (I’m learning, though…slowly…very slowly).
6. I’m shy. (This comes as a laugh sometimes even to people who’ve known me for years!!). I’m usually (and this word is important to note!) pleasant and amiable, etc. But not outgoing or extrovert. People tend always to think I am confident, and outgoing because I tend to be good at making people laugh, and I rarely come across as shaky or unsure. BUT I AM!! Not always. and not extremely. But, I;ve debated and acted ever since I can remember, but even till my last debate, my hands would tremble Nobody ever believed that. :s
7. I have four dogs: all black labrador retrievers. (Chamki knows this because she’s lived with me here).
8. Self expression and growth and understanding is a big part of my life at any stage I’m in. For delving deeper into myself, I have (and do) explored intuition and intuitive development, art therapy (trained to be a therapist), massage (again, trained masseuess too), Tarot, Raiki, Quantum Touch, Writing and poetry (that’s my first love), art, journals, soul collage… the list is (almost) endless. And growing.
